Sometimes you are reminded of the incredible kindness of friends and family. The road to adoption is a long and emotional journey and your friends and family are part of it. Recently Steph had a baby shower at work celebrating our recent referral. They presented this absolutely stunning cake. One little message on the cake practically made me cry: "Come home Cleo." Those simple three words express how excited I am about finally having our daughter home with us. (Really, really soon now!!)
I would like to personally thank everyone at Steph's work for this beautiful cake and the great gifts! It was a wonderful way to acknowledge and celebrate her upcoming arrival.
On November 12th, Stephanie Jones hosted an amazing shower for Steph. The generosity of our friends and family was truly overwhelming! We are now well on our way to being organized for our new addition.
Steph threw a great get together and Stephen did an amazing job decorating the cake with a true tribute to Cleo - Forever Family indeed!
There are lots of pictures from the baby shower available in the Photogallery.
Our journey begins very soon

Our journey to meet Cleo is fast approaching! To give friends and family some perspective on where we are travelling I have put together a small video tracing the steps we will take to finally meet our daughter. We will initially fly from Toronto Pearson International Airport to Beijing Capital International Airport. (A 14 hour flight!) After a few days in Beijing to adjust to the time change, we fly to Guangzhou. (A three hour flight.) This is where we will finally meet our little bundle of joy! Cleo is currently located in Yangjiang, China... where the video journey finishes.
If you have a slow Internet connection it could take a few minutes for the video above to appear. For those with a very high speed Internet connection, you can view a larger video clip. Having trouble seeing the video? Please see our instructions.
We are literally counting the days until we meet Cleo! The "Red Thread" linking us together is slowly shortening! We'll see you real soon Cleo!
